Tunstall
misses Mondello but looks to be back on track
16 May 2005
Tom
Tunstall missed the latest round of the British Supersport Championship
but there is light on the horizon for the Hardinge Ice Valley rider.
What was first thought to be an ear infection was later diagnosed as
Vestibular Neuritis. A viral infection that effects the brain stem and
cerebellar area of the brain associated with balance. Fortunately MRI
scans of the brain showed there will be no long term effects and Tom
will make a full recovery.
The Huddersfield rider also feels to be making good progress. "I've
got to say it knocked the stuffing out of me a lot, but I'm finally
starting to feel a bit more like myself again! I'm planning to make
some tests on the race bike in the coming week and feel very positive
about racing at the next meeting."
